This went from a standard US Home bathroom with a walk-in shower to something really special.
The main basement remodel included a complete home
theater as well. We added a 106" retractable
screen in front of the fireplace and wired the room
complete with 7 channel surround sound. A cieling
mounted projector privides the source and the componets
are hidden to the left of the bookshelves. An IR
relay located just above the left speaker provides
reliable remote functionality.
We added an arch into the main room/home theater in this
basement remodel. A soffet was required to hide the plumbing
for the wetbar and the ductwork. The arch helps tie this
into the rest of the basement.
Stairs always pose an area of wasted space in a basement
remodel. We added a set roller shelves and a very deep
storage cabinets for all of the kids toys.
A large guest suite was added as well. A column was used
to cover as support and an additional one was added to
balance the room. Crown moulding and reading sconces really
added to this special guest escape.
Finally the bathroom. We inlayed glass tiles into the
1" white tiles. In floor heating was added including
in the shower pan. This basement remodel was a lot of
fun to do, and created a great escape for the family as
well as guests.
